    ○ Update Sales Scorecard on a weekly basis

The Construction Association of Rural Manitoba Inc. was founded May 14, 1913 under the name Brandon Builders Exchange. Fourteen companies gathered to discuss mutual concerns. The staff and Board of Directors of the association are continually working for the betterment of our association and the industry through advocacy, lobbying and education activities in addition to direct services offered to members through the CARM office.

POSITION:
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who will report to the Executive Director; This is a Term Position for 12 Months to cover Maternity Leave.

$14 – $15 an hour

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Direct phone calls to the appropriate person within the Association;
  • Be the first point of contact for the office visitors and members;
  • Provide clerical support to the team as required;
  • Coordinate the flow of correspondence by distributing incoming mail and courier deliveries, and receiving/distributing facsimiles;
  • Enter new clients into scheduling software;
  • Manage petty cash;
  • Prepare bank deposits;
  • Photocopy/scan/fax documents, etc.;
  • Write letters and prepare memos as necessary;
  • Maintain office supply inventory;
  • Maintain the office equipment (i.e. toner in photocopier, arrange for service, etc.)
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes as required.

Construction Manager

Construction and Training Manager

Position Summary:
The Construction and Training Manager reports to the BEEP Operations Director and is responsible for planning and overseeing construction projects with the goal of providing a positive hands-on construction training opportunity to individuals who have previously experienced barriers to employment. The BNRC requires an individual with experience in construction management, training in carpentry, and strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively mentoring and training individuals starting out in the construction field.

Qualifications:
– Journeyman Carpenter preferred or equivalent experience and eligibility as a Designated Trainer

Purpose: The purpose of the Mechanic – Automotive & Small Engine position is to work effectively and in coordination with the Shop Foreman to troubleshoot, service and repair company vehicle fleet and company small engine equipment. The Mechanic will work to keep all crews functioning through both Summer and Winter seasons.

Duties and Responsibilities –
Shop Management:

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on vehicles and small engine equipment including but not limited to trimmers, lawn mowers, blowers, etc.
• Ensure maintenance of vehicle fleet and small engine equipment is completed within assigned time frames
• Ensure all vehicle Safeties are completed on an annual basis within assigned time frames
• Open, assemble and test new equipment
• Check equipment for proper operation and deficiencies before returning to its department for use
• Assist with seasonal equipment change over for summer/winter seasons
• Parts ordering and pickup/delivery
• Record repairs and maintenance in applicable Fleet Maintenance Spreadsheets/Software
• Communicate with management on the status of priority vehicles and small engine equipment
• Offer suggestions and ideas to improve shop processes
• Communicate with operators to pinpoint issues with equipment
• Communicate equipment abuse or neglected maintenance to Management
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment
• Use all provided tools and equipment with care

Snow Ranger Crew Member – Snow Shoveller

Position Type: Casual/Part-time, On-Call
Reports to: Frontline Manager/Shovel Crew Operations Manager

Purpose: In the winter months Livingstone Landscaping offers a snow shoveling service to clients. This position will effectively and in a timely fashion, remove all snow from client properties as per their
requirements. Our snow management professionals are to be available at all times, for this on-call weather dependent position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Physically able to perform labour duties
• Basic understanding of snow equipment (shovels, snow throwers, backpack blowers)
• Basic understanding of shovelling techniques (distances from garages, doorways, proper lifting/throwing techniques)

Reports to: Snow Operator Route Manager
Purpose: In the winter months Livingstone Landscaping offers a snow removal service to clients. Whenever it snows, we send out crews to clear parking lots and driveways with various different types
of equipment; this role is completely weather-dependent and crews will only get called when it snows 1-inch or more.

This Seasonal/Part-Time position is great for anyone who is laid-off for the winter months, working part time, or working shift work and looking for some extra hours over the winter season.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Answer call-ins on snow days
• Operate equipment safely to clear snow from driveways/parking lots OR haul snow away from sites
• Operate equipment/trucks in residential space with knowledge of surroundings (cars, pedestrians, homes)
• Perform pre-trip inspections and route paperwork
• Demonstrates a level of interest in successful job completion
• Maintains equipment and truck to standards
• Assists with completing pre/post trip successfully per shift
• Maintains good attendance
