By Jared Jacobson, President, CARM
This issue of Building Rural Manitoba is dedicated to celebrating the success of CARM membership as well as the entire organization. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Board of Directors, Standing Committees, Membership and the CARM office for another successful year.
In 2018, we remained very active in our advocacy efforts by attracting over 23 new members, contributing $20,000 towards community projects and raising over $23,000 at the annual banquet and golf tournament. The funds from these events will be used to replenish the community projects fund and future applications.
Looking forward into Q1 and Q2 of 2019, we expect continued growth in not only membership, but innovative education programs and enhanced community involvement. Through feedback and suggestions of our membership we have added more education and training courses, as well as an event to our February calendar, CARM Member’s Day.
With the Holiday Season upon us I would like to extend best wishes to all members and staff for an enjoyable season. Wishing you all the best in 2019.
