Moving through 2015, CARM has experienced a complete change of staff in the office and the new team members are very grateful for the support of the Board of Directors and membership as new roles and responsibilities are learned. CARM also participated in the first Westman Construction Expo held in Brandon in conjunction with the March Career Symposium. The recent membership to the Canadian Construction Association is also great news for CARM members with many benefits to roll out as we move through 2015.
Although change is inevitable and often unpredictable, a few things will never change for CARM and that is commitment to the membership and betterment of the industry in rural Manitoba. CARM has five very active volunteer Standing Committees dedicated to keeping the organization on track with a focus on Government Affairs, Education & Training, Member Services, Community Marketing and Entertainment or networking opportunities.
The online planroom, resource library and scanning/printing of specifications and plans are still paramount and core service to CARM members. Advocacy, education and training are also significant focuses for the organization. We encourage members and potential members to contact the CARM office to share any ideas or challenges related to your business and the industry. It is our goal to bring information and activity to the membership that is beneficial and directly impacts your bottom line to facilitate continued financial success in the construction industry.
For the betterment of our industry, the Construction Association of Rural Manitoba provides services and representation to its members. CARM acts as a liaison between its members and consumers of construction services and, other interested groups.
