Important Regulatory Changes to Manitoba’s Apprenticeship and Certification

Dear Apprenticeship Stakeholder,

Please be advised of the following regulatory changes to Manitoba’s apprenticeship and certification system, coming into force on October 30, 2024.

The regulatory changes are designed to enable efficient program response to emerging industry needs, align Manitoba with interprovincial Red Seal standards, and enhance apprentice training and safety. Combined, these regulatory changes will help us modernize and streamline the apprenticeship and certification system and provide the best experience possible to our clients.

We are requesting that organizations please share the regulatory changes with their stakeholder contacts. Additional information is available on the Apprenticeship Manitoba website at manitoba.ca/aesi/apprenticeship.
