Construction Industry Ethics

November 27, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Ethical behaviour is essential for the construction industry. By maintaining high ethical standards, and by being consistent in our practices, we thrive both personally and professionally. The Construction Industry Ethics course is designed to help you and your team think through the ethical decisions you face every day.

To make ethical choices, construction leaders and decision-makers need to think through ethical questions before they’re faced with difficult choices. That’s why the Canadian Construction Association requires Gold Seal candidates to take this course, prior to writing the Gold Seal exam. CLICK to learn more about Gold Seal Certification.

This course includes two components:

  1. An online course, which will take you around 4h to complete.
  2. A full-day, in-class course at ECA

One month prior to course start date, we will contact you with an access code for the online course. You will need to complete the online course before the in-class portion. The in-class course builds on the online course, and includes collaborative discussion where participants will examine specific ethical issues, and work through real-life scenarios together.

Your Facilitator

Debbie Hicks (DSH Consulting) is one of the most active construction-industry educators in Western Canada. She is an engaging instructor, experienced construction manager, and effective liaison between construction buyers, designers, contractors, and trades. Debbie is well known across the West as the presenter of Construction 101.
