Mulligan’s Electric, Ltd., is wired to succeed
By Deb Draper
For Terri and Rob Mulligan, owners
of Mulligan’s Electric, Ltd.,
in Brandon, working out of their
home has been the norm since
they started their company five years
ago. In that regard, the COVID-19 pandemic
has had little to no effect on their
business operations.
“Our house is our office,” said Rob.
Terri takes care of all the administrative
work that comes with a busy, successful
business, including the weekly payroll
for eight employees and soon to be more.
“Officially, I am the corporate controller,
the administration/office coordinator,
safety officer and business owner,” Terri
said. Meanwhile, out on the jobs, Rob uses
his 25 years’ experience as a Red Seal electrical
journeyman.
It all began with Rob’s dream to have his
own business. “I was working as a journeyman
electrician, getting to know people
and making connections. It was great, but
I had always wanted to try it on my own,
so finally in 2016, we decided to give it a go
and started Mulligan’s Electric, Ltd.”
Right from the beginning, the Mulligans
understood that a strong business philosophy
would determine the success of
their new company. They made quality of
workmanship their focus, building upon
a strong foundation of four business principles:
excellence, experience, safety and
customer service. As a result, over the past
five years, Mulligan’s Electric, Ltd., has not
only survived, but thrived.

Services offered
If the job involves electricity, Mulligan’s
is prepared and experienced to handle it.
Residential work can be anything from
panel change outs to adding lights and
receptacles, or moving to LED lighting
amid its growth in popularity.
The same goes for commercial work
such as restaurants and offices; renovations
or new builds, Mulligan’s Electric is ready,
willing and able to complete all jobs regardless
of the project size. When it comes to
maintenance, Mulligan’s offers a complete
service package ranging from a few hours
a week to keeping an eye on electrical systems
24/7.
“These days we are mostly dealing
with industrial jobs,” said Rob. “We have
numerous industrial clients in the area and
because we belong to the International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 2085,
we have access to more workers when
needed for larger jobs.”
Rob mentions a big turnaround job
coming up in the fall at Koch Fertilizer
plant near Brandon. “During a turnaround,
